Description
Predictable classroom routines do more than manage behavior: they reduce cognitive load, build student confidence, and create consistency that allows all learners to focus on thinking rather than navigation. But not all routines are created equal. This session explores two research-informed frameworks for building high-impact instructional routines: EduProtocols, which give teachers repeatable lesson structures that students internalize over time; and Project Zero thinking routines, which make student thinking explicit, discussable, and transferable across content areas. Participants will explore examples from both frameworks, experience selected routines as learners, and leave ready to implement at least two routines in their own classrooms.
